Florence, the ideal city for solo female travellers

Ideally you would need at least a week to visit Florence and the surrounding area but this marvellous Tuscan capital is also the perfect destination for a weekend break. A plethora of exhibitions, attractions and cultural events, together with Alberto’s hospitality, offering all the information you require, are the only ingredients you will need for your "bespoke" holiday in Florence.

Experiences, tips and cultural events in Florence and the surrounding area

In addition to being one of Italy’s favourite destinations, Florence has also been one of the main cities to focus on the concepts of providing ‘experiences’ and 'living like a local’: Walking tours and excursions to the countryside and Florentine hamlets to taste wines and Tuscan delicacies; Visits to farm producers in the neighbouring towns on a vintage Vespa or in a sidecar; Yoga lessons in an ancient palazzo with breath taking views and organic treats; Trying your hand at preparing a three course Italian menu in a Florentine home and sharing the meal with the hosts…

These are just a few examples of how to live your holiday in Florence in a different way, from a different perspective, experiencing life as the locals do, the people who live, study and work in the Florence behind the tourist crowds, the real, genuine Florence.
